01 Mar Campaign to purchase “game-changing” piece of equipment
Last month saw the launch of our campaign to raise funds to purchase a LokoHelp electromechanical gait trainer to enable disabled children to walk.
The LokoHelp kit, which looks like a sophisticated treadmill, does the work of two physiotherapists by holding the child’s legs in an upright position to enable the children to walk in the correct walking pattern.
The Freddie Farmer Foundation has got a LokoHelp machine on a 12-month repayment plan but needs to raise £55,000 by the end of the year to pay for it.
More than 90 per cent of our children are already benefiting tremendously from this machine.
