28 Sep Equipment to get disabled children on their feet
The latest addition to the Freddie Farmer Foundation Physiotherapy Centre is the LokoHelp electromechanical gait trainer, currently on loan from human performance specialists, Cranlea Human Performance.
The LokoHelp works with children in an upright position to enable the children to walk in the correct walking pattern, building up the leg muscles required for walking and encourages a more effective application of therapy in all phases of gait training.
It complements the already vast array of specialised equipment now in situ at the new Bromley centre, which includes universal exercise units, power towers, benches, bars, wobble boards, treadmills, riding horses and trikes.
