11 Aug Footy Fundraiser: Charity Football Match
A Charity Football Match to assist us in our work supporting disabled children has raised £500.
The football match at Kennington Park, Lambeth on 2 July was organised by Adjani Okpu-Egbe, a multidisciplinary artist based in London.
Adjani organised the event to raise awareness about cerebral palsy in his local community and to raise funds to support the work that Freddie Farmer Foundation is doing to support children and their families affected by cerebral palsy and mobility problems in Bromley.
The highlight of the match was when Adjani’s football colleague got 2-year-old Lew Copas, who has cerebral palsy, kicking a football around.
Adjani comes from a family of “givers” and, following the passing of his mother a couple of years ago, is committed to continuing with the family tradition of empathy and philanthropy.
