26 Apr St George’s Day charity celebration in Bromley
A St George's Day fundraising dinner has raised an incredible £18,500 for the Freddie Farmer Physiotherapy Centre.
The annual event, organised by the Freddie Farmer Foundation charity, took place on Saturday at Oakley House in Bromley, and 225 people attended.
The Foundation's charity officer, Karen Smith, said: “It was an amazing night – great food, great atmosphere, great company and great music, we also held a raffle and an auction, and some of the prizes were donated by local Bromley businesses.
“When we played our promotional video to everyone on the giant screens, the room fell silent! It was very emotional.
“A personal highlight for me was when the Thames Fanfare Brass played the Post Horn Gallop, followed by a communal sing-song, and much flag waving!
"It was a truly fantastic day – not just because of the amount of money we raised, but because of our amazing guests and supporters.
“We’re planning on doing it all again on 22 April 2017, so save the date, and we’ll see you there!”
Thanks so much for your support!
