10 Jan Together we can change lives
Last year we donated mobility and rehabilitation equipment to Child Aid, a charity that works to support disabled children and young people in Eastern Europe.
One of the ways Child Aid supports its projects is to send quality second-hand mobility and rehabilitation equipment to its rehabilitation centres in Moldova and Ukraine.
So when Child Aid’s director Martin Wilcox approached Freddie Farmer Foundation in the summer of 2021 to see if we had any spare equipment, we were delighted to help.
We donated various sizes and colours of therapy balls, 1 height adjustable thera bench and a Schuchmann Malte Walker to the Tony Hawks Centre which provides a range of free-to-access therapies for children living with a range of disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, in Chisinau, Moldova.
“We have an incredible team of professional therapists and having the use of these additional mobility and rehabilitation items at the Tony Hawks Centre in Moldova will make a big difference to our work,” said Martin.
