Physiotherapist Sonia Verma attended a Kinesio Taping Method training course in London last weekend. The two-day course, organised by Kinesio UK, included Kinesio Taping concepts, benefits and application.
Kinesio Taping is a rehabilitative taping technique that provides support and stability to joints and muscles. The Taping is applied over muscles to reduce pain and inflammation, to support muscles in movement, and to relax tired muscles.
Kinesio Taping made its first major appearance at the Bejing Olympics. Since then it has taken the world by storm as increasing numbers of healthcare professionals have embraced the Kinesio Taping Method as an effective aid in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
Kinesio Taping has become a sought-after additional skill for practitioners and remains at the forefront of fascial, lymphatic and muscle taping.
